Great location and staff are very friendly. The equipment requires updating but my issue is the bonkers way this has been run over the Christmas holidays - seriously are you running a service business with paid memebershios or not ? Opening times and accessibility to either gym or pool over the Christmas and new year holiday has been an absolute joke closing mostly at 2pm if open or available at all - closed on New Years Eve, Christ even the banks are open 9-5 pm today !!!! Members pay a fee and expect access to what they are paying for; all other gyms and leisure centres in the area between Berkhamsted, St Albans and Harpenden were all open as normal outside of the stated public holidays. Our leisure centre was run as a hobby over Christmas with a pool that was rarely available and closed at least 50% of the time to my knowledge between cleaning, repairs And general closure because nobody could be bothered to provide the service members have paid for. If there is any response please dont use the holidays and less people or great time for cleaning and maintenance because that simply doesnt wash !
This is a lovely place in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty. I have been a member of the lifestyle centre for 10 years and Mark and the team are friendly, helpful and supportive. I started doing the inclusive classes last year and have improved on my fitness levels and made some new friends! Highly recommend this tranquil and well equipped health club :)
